‘Departure’ is an immersive experience that reflects the complexities of leaving the known behind. With its diverse musical landscapes, the album captures the full range of emotions experienced during departures - from the excitement that comes with new beginnings to the introspection that is often accompanied by solitude. ‘Departure’ leaves an indelible mark, inspiring listeners to embrace change and embark on their own journeys of self-discovery.

During the creation of the cover art for this project, I conducted thorough research to find unique and distinctive design concepts. This journey involved exploring many artistic inspirations and aesthetic possibilities. My objective was to design a cover that would appeal to the audience and convey a thought-provoking narrative. I wanted to make sure that my design stood out not only through visual appeal but also through its deep meaning and message.

Colour theory played a crucial role in shaping the cover art. The colour red, with its bold and lively associations, was chosen as the dominant colour for a reason. It was a conscious decision made to infuse the artwork with a noticeable sense of motivation and tension. The careful selection of this colour aimed to resonate on a subconscious level, invoking emotions and energy that would harmonise with the underlying themes of the project.

Moreover, I reflected on the significance of merchandising as a multi-dimensional tool. It could function not only as a way to advertise the album but also as a method to connect with fans on a more personal level.

In addition to the visual aspect, I took a holistic approach to marketing to ensure that the project’s identity and message would be consistent across multiple platforms. This included considering social media integration, particularly on platforms like Instagram where the visual aesthetics of the cover art could align with the project’s brand. I also considered the design’s compatibility with streaming platforms like Spotify, recognising the importance of a cohesive and captivating visual presence in the digital landscape.
